With the mercury sampler, spilt mercury can be picked up and used again in uncomplicated fashion. The mercury sampler consists of a can with a special foam material inlay stuck into the screw top. If the foam material inlay is pressed lightly onto spilt mercury, its pores open and absorb the small mercury balls. When the lid is screwed closed, the small balls are released and fall through the perforated dividing disc into the can.
