PF-04418948 is a potent EP2 receptor antagonist with an IC₅₀ of 16 nM for human EP2 receptors. It also displays greater selectivity for EP2 receptors over EP1, 3, 4, DPI and CRTH2 receptors. It inhibits PGE2 induced increase in intracellular cAMP.
