CD40 Ligand (CD40L/TRAP) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the TNF superfamily of ligands. Natually, CD40L is a m embrane-bound protein, but proteolytically cleaved 15-18 kDa soluble forms of CD40L are also fully active.
