ACADS (acyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase), is a homotetrameric mitochondrial flavoprotein that belongs to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase fam ily. This enzyme catalyzes the initial step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway.
